With the weather starting to improve and Summer on the way the hog roast season is coming and we are getting busier here at Big Roast.
We catered for Mr Bennett who was organising a party to celebrate his son’s birthday and his new job – so a lamb roast, as well as a barbecue and a variety of our Middle Eastern salads was perfect for the 40 boys on the beers who needed plenty of grub.
Sausages and chicken skewers were cooked on one of our charcoal barbeque machines – we also have gas barbeque machines available for events which can cook up to around 50 burgers at a time. The Middle Eastern salad varieties are one of a number of regionally themed salad options we provide from around the world.
It’s almost time for the spookiest night of the year, Halloween. On the eve of 31 October, spirits come back to the land of the living, children spend hours trick or treating and everyone finally has an excuse to pull out their most ridiculous costumes and wear them without judgement from anyone. Hog Roasts are a grand event and this weekend Big Roast catered for one of the grandest. Mr Love held a spectacular event in Kent with two large hogs capable of comfortably feeding the 200 guests. The garden looked stunning and Big Roast, London’s original hog roast, lamb roast and spit roast company, were avaiable to provide stunning food to match.
As you can see from Big Roast’s pictures the event was beautifully decorated with the large marquee resplendent with summer flowers. Big Roast’s hog roast looked very much at home in this gorgeous Kent setting. The food looked great and tasted better. As well as Big Roast’s speciality hog roast we provided a selection of refreshing salads, the perfect accompaniment to a hearty hog roast. The Penne Arabiata with spicy tomato & black olives was enjoyed by everyone and worked particular well with Big Roast’s Classic Potato Salad.
Our chefs had a challenging day to prepare, marinade and carve the hogs but enjoyed every minute as the delighted guests marveled at the spectacle and flavour of an original hog roast. Although it is hard to appreciate the delicious aroma and flavour of a hog roast unless you are there Big Roast has attached below a video of our chefs hard at work preparing a wonderful hog roast banquet.

Big Roast’s hosted event alongside Boulevard Events was a roaring success – a hot English Summers day in the middle of Wimbledon and a fine hog roast saw the party for the leading architects start with a flourish.
Held in the city of London, the party entertained ninety staff and family and the 50 kilo hog held centre stage early on in the party. More details to follow.
