Introducing the new Big Roast London Sauce

Not content with our meat being as delicious as it already is, we’ve added a little something new into the mix. Our Steve, one of the founders of Big Roast London all that time ago (last summer), has decided that he’s had enough of missing his favourite South African sauce, and is importing it especially for your tasting pleasure. Lappies Braai Sauce is a scrumptious blend of various top-secret ingredients; but they must be doing something right, as since the company founded in 1985, they’ve been busy spreading (hahaha, geddit?) the word and the fame, as well as developing four different sauces which are now sold across the Western Cape in South Africa.
Steve says, “Basically, I thought it was time the British public was exposed to this incredible taste experience. The braai (barbeque) tradition is so huge back home, and I want to bring some of that over here. Lappies literally goes with any meat you care to cook, which is what makes it so magic, and completely impossible to make your own. So far, it’s been going down pretty well with our clients”.

Big Roast Acrostic

We think you’re probably well aware by now that we at Big Roast love parties, hog roasts, lamb roasts, barbeques, and of course travelling around the country, seeing our clients and helping their bash go off without a hitch. The only slight emotional problem we’ve had is finding an outlet for our passion- until now. We thought we’d try our hand at some hog roast London poetry, and of course share it with you, beloved reader. We hope you enjoy!

How easy is it to sit back and relax,
Only a few days to go until your summer party?
Guests to please and food to think about,
Running around doing last minute chores.
Of course, the munch is sorted,
As easy as pie, with Hog roast London.
Succulent piggy with bread rolls to boot,
Topped off with apple sauce which will make every mouth water.
Lucky for your friends and family,
Only a phone call to us will make their own party easy.
Nothing to worry about,
Dozens of our dos have gone without a hitch.
Our forte is doing the hard work so you don’t have to.
Nom, nom, nom, munch munch munch…that’s all you’ll hear all evening.

Big Roast London and the Hog-Roast-Cake Monster

We love a good story here at Big Roast London, and so we’d like to share one of our favourites with you.
Once upon a time, there was a monster, who just loved a good Big Roast. He dreamt about lovely joints of lamb and pork, even beef- it made no difference to him what the meat was…he just loved the thought it cooking in his garden, with all his friends gathered around him to enjoy the event.
One day, the Hog Roast monster fell in love….she was the most beautiful monster he’d ever set his eyes on- he knew she was the one. There was only one apparent problem- the lady monster didn’t seem too keen on hog roasts. She was more of a cake girl, herself. The two monsters, now deliriously in love, spend hours puzzling over the catering for their wedding, when they came across the Big Roast London website; easy to navigate and wonderfully clear, they had at last found a company to provide not only the meat and sweet treats for their guests, but also salads for those who so desired them.
Relieved of all catering worries, the two monsters had a wonderful day, and lived happily ever after.

Big Roast Wandsworth and the Big Lunch

At Big Roast, we’re all about bringing people together with community spirit, and providing delicious munch for social and celebratory events of all shapes and sizes. Since the company was born, we’ve catered for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, student fundraisers, and office parties, which is why we particularly like the idea of The Big Lunch, a nationwide event held by the people of Britain, in aid of neighbourly love and coming together. On July 18th of this year, hundreds of street parties will be taking place across the country as the Big Lunch, in association with the Eden Project, leaves no excuse not to join in and get to know the people who live nearby. It doesn’t have to be an extravagant or costly event, just something people can join in with.
